Semantic Technologies
Date: Apr 23rd, 2008
The original Project Proposal and the accompanying Technical Appendix contain the ‘vision’ of how the Semantic Web might be developed in order to support specific educational agendas – including the case based learning that is the focus of the project:
As the project develops, this section of the Ensemble project website will describe resources relevant to the development of the “Semantic Web for Education” under the following headings:
- Publications
- News, events and sources of information
- Relevant and related projects and applications
- Data sources and services
- Technologies and toolkits
- Standards
A first step is the construction of this interactive search of semantic technologies which have been assessed (and in some cases are in use) by the project. This is not intended to be a comprehensive review of all Semantic Web activity, but rather a developing collection of the resources and approaches with the greatest potential to support teaching and learning applications.
