QUADS Logo Welcome to the digital archive of educational evaluations developed by members of the Cambridge Conference as part of the ESRC QUADS (Qualitative Archive and Data Sharing) Programme. The archive contains documents related to important educational evaluations undertaken over the past three decades by members of the Cambridge Conference on Evaluation, which was first convened in 1972. It also contains transcripts of interviews with members of the Cambridge Conference about the policy, educational and methodological contexts of their work, video excerpts from these interviews, and a select bibliography of related published work.

The digital archive has been further developed under the auspices of the ESRC/EPSRC Ensemble Project (http://www.ensemble.ac.uk) based at the University of Cambridge, which has further developed the technology underpinning the digital archive and provided it with a permanent home.

You can return to the archive home page at any time by clicking the "Educational Evaluations" link at the top of the page.

Interpretations

These accounts were developed by the project team. They outline the content of the archive collections, draw out some of the salient features of the collections and provide the reader with 'ways in' to the archive content.

Experimental Interfaces

These are currently under development and are provided 'as is'; go ahead and use them (you can't actually break anything!), but be aware that some features may not work across all browsers, or that (for example) searches may return 'false positives'). Feedback welcomed on these.
