Project Team

The project brings together an interdisciplinary team from a number of HE institutions. The principal research sites are Liverpool John Moores University, Cambridge University (where the focus is advanced undergraduate learning) and City University (where the focus is postgraduate and professional learning).

PhD Students
The project has two ESRC Interdisciplinary PhD students. Nicola Beddall is based at City University, London, working on ‘Information visualisations as boundary objects? An actor-network theory approach to understanding HCI design’ under the supervision of Jonathan Raper, Uma Patel and Frank Webster. Sanna Rimpilainen is working at theĀ University of Stirling, under the supervision of Richard Edwards and Patrick Carmichael, looking at ‘Fluid objects? An actor-network theory approach to studying cases and contexts in higher education’.
